This Pfaff 2140/70 Embroidery Machine is the best!  Although it says 2140 on the actual machine, it has been upgraded to 2170. (This is easily done via the internet, and any upgrades that come available, you can add them too!) First, I need to let you know that I love this machine!  I do Home Dec sewing, which is sewing for the home (curtains, bedding). Check out some of my stuff in my store! I purchased this machine thinking that I would use it for the embroidery feature~ which is awesome!!!  Turns out, I just don't have the time to embroider with all of the business I have~ that it is actually easier for me to send stuff out to be embroidered! So, I went back to using the awesome Pfaff machine that I have had for over 10 years and fell back in love with it!  I do miss some of the 2140/70 features like the foot lifter, scissors, and zig-zag programming, but basically don't need the machine anymore. Sooo, this could be your lucky day if you have been in the market for one of these! (I did have it factory serviced in June, and have not had the time to list this in my store until now!!! The only reason I took it out of the box after servicing was to take these pictures. Service paperwork included) There are so many features that this machine comes with, be careful, you may be overloaded! Lets start with the basic stuff: You can do any of your basic or beginning sewing on this machine~ straight stitch, zigzag, buttonholes... You can embroider using the built in stitches in the machine, 260 of them! You can pre-set the button-holer to do one of multiple styles (did you know there was more than one type???) based on the button size! You can use this super neato "Presser foot lift" that lets you get the fabric in place, and then drop the foot (spoils you!) (It's the bent metal bar with the large white plastic end to it in the picture). You push on it with your thigh. You can "tap" the foot pedal, and have the needle lifted or lowered, instead of moving the wheel manually! Very handy when turning corners! There is a pair of Super Nifty scissors built in to cut your thread when you push the button (this comes in handy because you won't need to look for your scissors, AND the thread is never cut too short to then not start your next stitch!!!! You can program these scissors to actually cut after certain stitches (I used it for stationary zig-zags on rings) and programmed how many zigs to zag prior to it!!! (Waaaay cool)  This machine is Heavy, as in it won't bounce around like your basic machines will.  This is a HUGE deal, especially when you are embroidering!  Or, if you sew heavy fabrics like I do! It comes with a hard sided cover, that has a door on the front (cool to travel with, keeps stuff in place, and clean). It has a special button hole-r foot, and gauge to do super duper button holes (who thought there was just one type?) Even a zipper foot, darning, and a rolled hem foot, along with your embroidery specialty foot and many more. Light bulb changer, oil to lubricate it, brush to clean it out, and a screw driver! THIS MACHINE HAS "IDT".  IT IS A WALKING FOOT, THAT HELPS PULL THE FABRIC THROUGH EASILY, SO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO ALL THE WORK! AMAZING DIFFERENCE FROM OTHER MACHINES!!! The 2140/70 machine has a special "hook-y doo" that threads your needle! I used velcro dots to attach my stylus, so I wouldn't mess up or leave fingerprints on the touch computer screen (you can see it in the pix) and so I wouldn't misplace it... The bobbin winder is automatic! No more loosening the hand wheel, and it can be set for fast or slow winding! I am including the extra cable with USB to connect it to your computer (very inportant for embroidery system) It was $30-40! There are two hoops, the large 225, and the round one~ SEE PICTURE. Of course, the embroidery unit!!! (It attaches to the back when you wish to embroider). The dongle (crazy name, but is the key element to making it all work (somewhat like your car key)). The Pfaff Creative Vision Instruction Manual. Madeira 18 pack threads (some are VERY slightly used)~at least 15 of them have 200 meters on them. Additional embroidery threads (some slightly used) see picture. A beautiful black carrying case for your embroidery unit.  It has handles, as well as a shoulder strap, and many zippers! (Neat for travel or training classes.) I will even include the stabilizers I have (some are opened and partially used). I also have many (9) instruction discs for the machine.  I actually didn't even use them :o( . THIS INCLUDES THE 3D EMBROIDERY STUDIO SYSTEM. IT IS BY HUSQVARNA/ VIKING, BUT THE SYSTEM IS UNIVERSAL (so it works with Pfaff machines too)  It is version 7.25 (there are 2 of these discs, I don't know if it's a duplicate or what). The tutorial version is 7.2. I was too busy sewing away to actually register the 3D system software. This is needed to get the stuff going on your home computer which you can hook up to your sewing machine and do an unlimited amount of stuff, so I am including the License Code for you.  I only used it via my laptop, which is not connected to the internet. This part also comes with two books, the 3D vision/ organizer, and the getting started booklet. This particular software system retails for $400 at any store!!!  (Did I say you were lucky or what?) I am including creative card #336. It is unopened, and still has the $149 price tag on it. There are also two Creative File Assistant discs (again, unused). There is a creative software demo disc, and a plain old Creative disc that I think gives you the features of the machine. One more design disc that has 50 designs, used once during a training class.
