Description You are looking at wormy chestnut. This wood is over 100 years old and it is extinct so it is worth a lot of money. This wood has not been salvaged, it is all unused and was stored in a local warehouse ever since it was ripped from logs. There is approx. 800 board feet. The boards range from 1x3's to 1x10's with everything inbetween. Some of the wood is in excellent shape and some is dry and cracked. I included pictures of both extremes so that you can get an idea of what to expect. I wanted to side my basement walls with it to give it a rustic look but I do not have the time and I want the space in my garage before winter comes. Dont ask me to sort it because if I take the time to sort it I will want $15 per board foot of the good stuff, because that is what its worth. It would be cheaper just to buy all of it.
